Creative Time Out
Slowing down in a fast world to access your creativity
Are you running out of time, always trying to balance work and personal time, juggling commitments and feeling guilty for not being able to meet everyone’s expectations, especially your own? There are 24 hours in a day, but it seems to get harder and harder to not use them all for things other than your own creative pursuits. How do you make sure you have enough time for yourself?
The challenge of being too busy to do it all seems to be a shared experience, whether you are a business leader, an independent consultant, a team member in a large organization or just a working parent trying to manage a hectic life. How can we rediscover our sense of self amidst the flurry of activities and regain a sense of control over our life, allowing our creativity to emerge, and to help others around us get grounded, too?
Learning Objectives – During this program, participants will:
- Learn to regain a sense of self in order to manage oneself better (based on various concepts such as emotional intelligence, appreciative inquiry, etc.)
- Experience reflecting tools that support taking time out and actually recharge you for further productivity
- Explore the concept of ‘being present in the moment’ with the chaos that is part of every day life
- Learn to deliberately dispense creative energy. How to be generating rather than reacting, being purposeful about activities rather than letting distractions pull you
- Develop self-leadership and personal creative ballast
Language
