What is the best way to arrive to Sestri from Milan?

• By car: take highway A7 toward Genova after that follow A12 in direction of LA SPEZIA LIVORNO GENOVA and exit at Sestri Levante. About 1:30 hours driving.

The closest airport to Sestri Levante is Genoa C. Colombo Airport (GOA) . The airport is slightly out of the city approximate 11 km from Genoa City Centre.

What's the fastest way to get to the hotel from the Airport?
To reach Villa Balbi from the Genoa Airport you can take a combination of train and taxi or just taxi (30/40 minutes).

• Train: From the Airport take a taxi to the Genova Piazza Principe station. From there you must take the train to Sestri Levante (direction Livorno or La Spezia). For train schedules and fare prices Click Here. Once you arrive in Sestri, we suggest you take a taxi to the hotel.
• Taxi: From the Genoa Airport to Villa Balbi is approximately 50 km.

What will the weather be like in April? Will it be warm enough to go to the beach?
Spring in Italy is delightful! Flowers blooming everywhere, but beware, it may get chilly in the evening. The average temperature for Genova in April is HIGH : 17°C (62 F) LOW: 11°C (51 F), with 85 mm (3 in) of precipitation. It may be too early to jump in the water, on the other hand, isn't life all about taking risks?!

What should I bring?
The atmosphere of the conference is casual. Please bring comfortable, casual clothes to fully enjoy your experience. There will be both indoor and outdoor activities, so it is probably a good idea to bring clothes you can layer. We also suggest rain gear. While we have put in our order with the sun gods, you never know how fast these things get processed.

Does the price of the conference include meals AND accommodation?
Yes, the total price of the conference includes meals, and accommodation, and it is no ordinary accommodation we might add. Retiring to your room - after a day of being creative - in historic Villa Balbi, is an experience onto itself! As for the food - well - we are in Italy, is there anything more to say?!

Are there any good places to go shopping in the area?
Of course! We are in Italy after all. There are plenty of shops just walking distance from the hotel, and most of them are open 365 days a year, and until at least 8pm. There are also many other wonderful places to experience in the area. The Cinqueterre, the famous Aquarium of Genova, or Portofino! Below is a list of links to help you plan your stay.
